Teens can participate in multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the year!
At any time of the year, teens can organize essential item drives to collect supplies that our clients desperately need.Â
- Hygiene kits for girls: hair care products, period pads, tampons, toothpaste, etc.
- Hygiene kits for boys: deodorant, soaps, shaving supplies, toothpaste, etc.
- Baby products for teen moms: diapers, formula, bottles, clothing, etc.
- $15+ Gift Cards for those facing homelessness: Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Target, grocery stores, metro cards, etc.Â
Reading Buddies:Â Be matched with a school aged child to help with literacy skills in Ossining, Port Chester, Tarrytown, and Yonkers through Family Services Society of Yonkers (FSSY). Hours and times vary. Must be age 16+.
Summer Fun in Hartley Park: Assist with our early childhood playgroup on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am-1:00pm from June 10 to July 31 in Mt. Vernon. Must be age 17+.Â
Summer Reading Buddies: Help young children gain literacy skills in July and August in Ossining, Port Chester, Tarrytown, and Yonkers through Family Services Society of Yonkers (FSSY). Hours and times vary. Must be age 14+.Â
Teens can also participate with their families on our Family Volunteer Days! More information coming soon.
