THE WJCS VIP PROGRAM was established for adults over the age of 18 who are recovering from mental illness and wish to partake in and benefit from a volunteer/internship work experience.

VIP members are placed in volunteer positions at non-profit organizations throughout Westchester County as well as at WJCS. Volunteer experiences help VIP program participants gain the necessary tools to assist them in achieving their future vocational goals.

The VIP program also hosts monthly meetings in which members have the opportunity to share their volunteer experiences as well as engage in group socials.

How to apply

All applicants must go through an intake process to determine an appropriate volunteer placement, based on the applicants interests, skills and prior job history. The process consists of an in-person interview and filling out paperwork.
