Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions

SPACE is an evidence-based treatment modality for parents of children with anxiety, developed by Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center.

During individual Zoom sessions, parents will learn:

  • How to focus on changes to their own behavior that will reduce their child’s anxiety.
  • To understand how their child’s anxiety impacts the entire family.
  • Specific language to respond supportively to their anxious child.
  • Strategies for reducing accommodations to their child’s anxiety symptoms.

This program is beneficial for parents who notice their child is struggling with:

  • Separation anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Generalized anxiety
  • Fears & phobias
  • Panic disorder & Agoraphobia
  • Selective mutism
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder

The cost of this program is $36 per individual session.
