Project Lifesaver is a program designed to help individuals affected with autism and other developmental disabilities who may wander or get lost and whose caregivers are looking for an extra layer of security.

In partnership with Westchester County Departments of Community Mental Health and Public Safety, Project Lifesaver offers locator bracelets similar to those used with people who are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art technology, with registered wristband transmitters, to locate wandering and lost children and young adults.

Parents and caregivers can call for information and an application or download the application here. Financial assistance may be available.
