As Director of Engagement and Culture, Stephan Spilkowitz is responsible for leading an exceptional employee experience at WJCS, ensuring that all staff feel deeply valued, included, connected, appreciated, and actively supported to reach their full potential. Prior to joining WJCS in 2023, Stephan held numerous roles at Andrus, spanning direct care work with youth trauma-survivors, recreation therapy program development, staff training and team building, agency-wide trauma-informed culture implementation, and multi-faceted leadership positions. 

 Stephan has served in a number of volunteer public service, community organizing, and advocacy roles in W.estchester County. He currently serves on the board of directors for Groundwork Hudson Valley, an environmental social justice non-profit seeking to mitigate the adverse impact of climate change affecting communities that were historically marginalized.

Stephan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and Change Leadership from Columbia University.
