Lauren Bassin oversees 13 WJCS community residences for 95+ disabled adults, and employment and community engagement opportunities for people with intellectual and development disabilities, who are eligible for OPWDD services. She is also in charge of housing support services in an affordable housing building in New Rochelle, OPWDD rent subsidies (ISS), as well as community habilitation services, POINT (Pursuing Our Independence Together)–a program that supports adults, ages 21 and older, with disabilities to live independently in apartments in downtown White Plains, and a service coordination program for traumatic brain injured individuals, as well as for adults eligible for nursing home transition and diversion services.

Lauren was previously Director of Community Outreach and Medicaid Service Coordination at Cerebral Palsy of Westchester. She earned her Master of Science degree in Social Work at Columbia University. In 2020, she was named a Westchester Hero by City & State NY.
