Lamentations: Faith in the Face of Suffering

2021-04-30T17:22:11-04:00March 6th, 2021|Categories: , |Tags: , |

The Book of Lamentations, traditionally read on the holiday of Tisha B'Av, is a poetic tribute to loss and suffering. How might we use it, along with some Psalms of lament, to understand loneliness and despair? How might we maintain a sense of faith amidst the pain of life, and how might we transform our relationship to Tisha B’Av in light of the COVID-19 pandemic? 2 Wednesdays, June 16 and 23, 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. Suggested fee: $54 For info or to RSVP please contact Rabbi Pamela Wax at [email protected].
