Jewish Programs

The WJCS Center for Jewish Programs is dedicated to responding to the evolving needs of Westchester’s vibrant Jewish community, while also serving the broader community with compassion and care. Guided by the value of tikkun olam—the responsibility to repair and strengthen the world—our work is reflected in the depth and diversity of the programs and services we provide.

Often described as the “411 and 911 for the Jewish community,” the WJCS Center for Jewish Programs is a trusted resource in both everyday moments and times of crisis. We support individuals and families across the lifespan, from early childhood through older adulthood, meeting people where they are with expertise and empathy. In partnership with more than 30 synagogues, day schools, Jewish early childhood centers, and Jewish Community Centers throughout Westchester, we deliver a wide range of educational, recreational, and mental health services, including counseling and community-based supports.

Our programs are designed to strengthen connection and well-being at every stage of life—from empowering youth and supporting families, to reducing isolation among older adults, to creating meaningful social opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a wide range of supports and services for Holocaust survivors and their families.

Jewish programs are funded by UJA-Federation of New York and private philanthropy.

Partners in Caring furthers WJCS’ commitment to serving the local Jewish community. Through this effort, we support the mental health, social and educational needs of Jewish residents by collaborating with synagogues, community centers and day schools.

The benefits of being a WJCS partner.

Rabbi Jonathan Blake of Westchester Reform Temple talks about why being part of the WJCS (Westchester Jewish Community Services) Partners in Caring program is so beneficial to the clergy and congregants at his synagogue.
