April is National Volunteer Month. All of us at WJCS are deeply indebted to our amazing crew of over 200 volunteers, who help our programs and participants grow and flourish. On behalf of all of our WJCS staff, thank you for the time and effort you dedicate to volunteering for our agency.
Our volunteer corps plays an essential role in ensuring that our agency fulfills its mission to help people of all ages and backgrounds overcome emotional, social, educational, vocational, disability, and spiritual challenges. Our volunteers play an important role in helping our clients lead lives with strength, resilience, and confidence.
Over the past year, hundreds of volunteers have stepped up to serve across our programs. That spirit of service continues to shine as brightly as ever.
Whether you’re:
- A COMPEER volunteer offering a lifeline of friendship to someone navigating mental health challenges,
- A Supper Club buddy sharing meals and laughs with young adults with special needs,
- A Share Shabbat family building beautiful bonds with Holocaust survivors,
- A tutor or teacher assistant helping little ones learn and grow,
- A driver, donor, or community organizer running an essential item drive, giving to our Back to School Drive, or collecting gifts for our Have a Heart for the Holidays drive
YOU are the heartbeat of WJCS. We could not do this work without YOU!
