Assistant Residence Manager

WJCS is currently searching for a full-time, 40 hours per week, Assistant Residence Manager to work in a group home in Westchester County.  Under general supervision of the Residence Manager, the Assistant Residence Manager performs a variety of tasks associated with assisting the Residence Manager with the responsibilities of the supervision and overall operation of a community based residence that provides residential habilitation services and supports for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.  Other responsibilities include performing the duties and essential functions of the position of Direct Support Professional; providing Person Centered Supports as out lined in the NYS DSP Code of Ethics; and promoting and practicing justice, fairness, and equity for the people you support and the community as a whole and will affirm the human rights, civil rights and responsibilities of the people you support.

Care Coordinator

WJCS is currently searching for a full time, 35 hours/week, Care Coordinator, to work as a part of our Children’s Health Homes program. The Care Coordinator will work with youth who struggle with mental health needs and/or medical needs that impact their ability to function successfully at home, school and the community. Case Manager - Holocaust Survivor's Program

WJCS is currently seeking a part time 14 hours/week Case Manager, to work as a part of our Holocaust Survivors Program. Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Case Manager will provide the evaluations, outreach, and case management to individuals and families of the Holocaust Survivors Program.  

In this position the selected candidate will be responsible for providing in-home visits to evaluate and re-evaluate clients for in-home services; maintain necessary client related contacts and assist Holocaust survivors in filling out and submitting paper work to obtain additional benefits.

Community Habilitation Worker

Registered Nurse

WJCS is searching for full-time and part-time Registered Nurses, to work in our group homes located in Westchester County.  Under general supervision from the Director of Nursing Services, the Registered Nurse will provide nursing services for individuals residing in the homes operated by Community Programs of WJCS.

The Registered Nurse will promote optimal health and safety through assessment, planning and intervention as well as collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and other health professionals. Other responsibilities include coordinating mandated evaluations, such as physicals, dental, eye/vision, audio evaluations, and provide follow up for all medical recommendations; collaborating with the IDT to promote the strengths of each individual, as well as reports on current health status at quarterly, semi- annual and annual reviews; and provides training to staff on all medical protocols and ensures that all staff have a good working knowledge of the all  protocol and  ensures documentation is present for all trainings.

Respite Worker

WJCS is currently searching for part-time, flexible workers for two respite programs in Westchester County to provide in-home assistance for families caring for either a dependent older person, or as a respite sitter for a child/children with a developmental disability. Work hours and area are of your choice. Provide stimulating companionship, supervision, and socialization. Follow through with care plans recommended by the family. Vernon, NY.  Under general supervision of the Clinic Director, the Social Worker will provide psycho-therapeutic services to children, adults, and families experiencing emotional difficulties.  The Social Worker utilizes various therapeutic modalities, including ongoing cases, crisis and intakes, using evidence-based practices. WJCS has an opening for a Social Worker to work in our satellite clinic in the DSS satellite office in Yonkers, New York. The Social Worker will work directly with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, specifically, the Department of Probation, throughout Westchester County.
