Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is a large, not for profit, organization with headquarters in White Plains, NY.  We are searching for a full-time, 35 hours per week, Social Worker to work in Peekskill.  Under the general supervision of the Clinic Director, the Social Worker will provide mental health services to persons in the community having psychiatric diagnosis and requiring services offered by a licensed mental health facility.  Other responsibilities include providing comprehensive clinical services, including assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment to clients of all ages in a dynamic Family Mental Health clinic setting.  Opportunity to work in varied treatment modalities with clients of all ages with a broad range of emotional, social and behavioral issues.  On-going clinical supervision and training in the WJCS Educational Institute.  LMSW required and some evenings required.  Knowledge of evidence-based principles and techniques is a plus as well as comfort with computer applications and good knowledge of community resources. This position requires two evening per week (12-8).

The ideal candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.  Must have thorough knowledge of modern principles and techniques of social work and therapeutic interventions with individuals and families.   Familiarity with maintaining electronic health records is helpful.
