WJCS is currently searching for a full-time, 35 hours per week Social Worker to work in Hartsdale, NY. Under general supervision of the Clinic Director or Assistant Clinic Director, the Clinical Social Worker provides mental health services offered by a licensed mental health facility to persons in the community having a psychiatric diagnosis, sometimes including co-occurring substance use disorders, and requiring psychotherapy. The Social Worker utilizes various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to complete intake assessments, provide ongoing treatment, including treatment in our intensive outpatient program, and do crisis intervention. The Social Worker is responsible for timely recording and statistical procedures required by the agency including case records, insurance-related data, schedules, and surveys, and maintaining necessary patient related contacts with other agencies and resources (courts, schools) including written material, telephone contact and personal meetings as needed. The Social Worker must consistently meet agency productivity standards. This position includes benefits.

The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of modern principles and techniques of social work, especially evidence-based practice (e.g., CBT, DBT); must be able to work with children, adolescents, adults or families; must be able to conduct interviews to obtain social and medical information necessary to perform diagnostic evaluation; and ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Bi-lingual, English-Spanish is a plus. Knowledge of the use of electronic health records, especially either Cerner or Netsmart, is desirable. MSW from an accredited school of social work and possession of or eligible for license to practice social work in New York State issued by the State Education Department. Additional continuing education training is available in the WJCS Educational Institute.
