Family Advocacy (FAD)

Helping adolescents with special needs transition to adult services

FAMILY ADVOCACY (FAD) is a social, recreational, skills-based group for adolescents on the autism spectrum and their families.  Meeting weekly in a club-like format, participants engage in experiential activities planned to enhance social, recreational and independent living skills. Weekly professionally-guided parent groups offer education, preparation for transition into the adult world, formal and informal supports, networking and problem-solving opportunities. FAD is supported with funding from the J.E. and Z.B. Butler Foundation.
