The Livable Community Connection Project encourages people to work proactively at the grassroots level to create communities where older people can remain at home, stay healthy and connected to friends and family, and remain actively engaged in their communities. Livable Community Connections services include health, wellness, educational, and cultural programs and support services such as accessible transportation, personal safety, and advocacy for affordable housing, safe sidewalks, and roads.

Under a grant from the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services, WJCS coordinates the project in the Central Region of the County (the Town of Greenburgh, including Villages of Ardsley, Bronxville, Dobbs Ferry, Eastchester, Edgemont, Elmsford, Hastings-On-Hudson, Irvington, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Port Chester, Rye, Scarsdale, Tarrytown, and White Plains).
