Center Lane Groups are a great place to talk about what’s going on with you or in the world, problem-solve with the help of other kids, make friends, and build community. Groups leaders are supportive, knowledgeable, and experienced Queer-competent adults in a safe and cozy space that feels like home away from home. Bring topics and issues that are important to you and help problem-solve while making friends and building a group of found family.
Center Lane Groups meet weekly. They give you and other LGBTQ+ youth an opportunity to:
- Learn current and accurate information about LGBTQ+ issues
- Expand your knowledge of the LGBTQ+ world, including LGBTQ+ history and the intersection of race, ethnicity, class, and other identities – and think about what they mean to you
- Find and use your own voice, explore what your identities mean to you and and how you fit into your families, schools, and communities
- Build your leadership skills and confidence by helping others
