The WJCS Edythe Kurz Educational Institute offers the most current training for our staff, other professionals, and the community at large. Through courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and other educational initiatives, WJCS increases the capacity of Westchester County to maintain a highly skilled human services work force. Annual conferences include the Edythe Kurz Clinical Conference, which highlights issues for professionals in the human services field, and the Dr. Samuel Kahn Memorial Lecture, which focuses on family matters with an emphasis on parenting and mental health.

Continuing Education Units for Licensed Social Workers and Psychologists (CEUs)

WJCS offers several fee-based courses for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that enable licensed social workers and psychologists to maintain their certifications. Westchester Jewish Community Services is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0101, and by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW0067.
