Accreditations, Certifications & Licenses

WJCS is: 

  • Licensed to operate mental health clinics by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
  • Licensed to provide Home Health and Traumatic Brain Injury services and operate a Home Health Training Program by the NYS Department of Health.
  • Certified to operate Intermediate Care Facilities, Individualized Residential Alternatives and Community Residences, Community Habilitation, Pathways to Employment, Support Employment by the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
  • Chartered as an Educational Institute by the NYS Board of Regents.
  • Accredited by the American Psychological Association as a training site for doctoral psychology interns.
  • Licensed by the Child Care Council of Westchester to provide childcare for school-aged children.
  • Rated as meeting all standards by the Better Business Bureau of New York.

Local grants are obtained from: City of Yonkers Department of Planning & Development-Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Putnam/Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Education (BOCES), the School Districts of Briarcliff, Chappaqua, Harrison, Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, Ossining, Peekskill, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, White Plains and Yonkers and the Town of Cortlandt.   

Federal funding is received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Department of Education, the Department of Housing & Urban Development, and the Department of Health & Human Services. 

WJCS is a beneficiary agency of UJA-Federation.
