Seth Resnick, M.D. is Chief Medical Officer of WJCS. Previously, he was the founding Chair of the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Department at AdvantageCare Physicians, one of the largest multisite outpatient primary and multispecialty care ambulatory medical groups throughout New York Metro where he oversaw the implementation and expansion of behavioral health programs. He has also served as Chief of General Medical Psychiatric Services at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan; Service Chief of the Chronic Pain and Recovery Center which was the only residential rehabilitation program for chronic pain in the Northeast region, at Silver Hill Hospital, and it also addressed co-occurring disorders of addiction and mental health conditions; and as Director of Cancer Supportive Services at Continuum Cancer Centers of New York, constituting the largest outpatient cancer center in New York City comprising St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center and Beth Israel Hospital where he was dually appointed in the departments of Psychiatry and Pain and Palliative Care.
Dr. Resnick graduated from medical school with a Distinction in Research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he was selected to attend early in his undergraduate education at Williams College through the Humanities in Medicine Program. He did his residency at NYU School of Medicine where he holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He completed a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Pain and Palliative Care. His board certification beyond Psychiatry includes unique sub-specialization in Pain Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, its highest honor, awarded in recognizing contributions to administration, teaching, clinical excellence, community involvement, and research.
