Amanda Garfinkle is Chief Advancement Officer. Prior to joining WJCS, Amanda spent over eight years in development at UJA-Federation of New York, most recently overseeing the Major Gifts Portfolio in Westchester. Amanda began her career in consulting and finance, working in investor relations for several hedge funds in New York City and Connecticut, including Aurelius Capital and Structured Portfolio Management.
Recognizing a desire to pursue philanthropy as a profession, Amanda made the transition from Wall Street to the nonprofit world in 2016. Amanda received her B.A. in Psychology and English from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Classical Diploma from Phillips Exeter Academy.
Amanda and her family reside in Chappaqua, and are active members of Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester, where Amanda serves as Treasurer for the Board and as Co-Chair of the Annual Fund Committee. An avid volunteer, Amanda is also involved in the Grafflin Elementary PTA and sits on the Chappaqua School Foundation (CSF) Board.
