WJCS Edythe Kurz Educational Institute
Maintaining quality service in a rapidly evolving environment is the mission of the WJCS Edythe Kurz Educational Institute, which is the training branch of the agency. WJCS offers the most current training for our staff, other professionals and the community at large. Through courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and other educational initiatives for agency staff, community partners, and the community-at-large, WJCS increases the capacity of Westchester County to maintain a highly skilled human services work force. Annual conferences include the Edythe Kurz Clinical Conference, which highlights issues for professionals in the human services field, and the Dr. Samuel Kahn Memorial Lecture, which focuses on family matters with an emphasis on parenting and mental health.

WJCS also provides clinical internships and field placements for students pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology, externships in psychology and internships for undergraduate and graduate students of social work. Click here for our 2018-19 catalog.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
WJCS also offers several fee-based courses for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that enable professionals to maintain their certifications.
