VOLUNTEERING
"How wonderful that no one need wait a single moment to improve the world." Anne Frank

The Office of Volunteer Resources empowers every volunteer to reach his or her caring potential by sharing time and skills with our clients. Flexible, meaningful opportunities are available in many WJCS programs to help others, assist with office functions or share talents and skills. Volunteers may mentor or tutor a child, visit in our group homes for the developmentally disabled or or assist with clerical work. Projects can be on-going or occasional and can be arranged for individuals or groups. Each volunteer is interviewed and placed according to one's special interests and skills.

Local organizations and synagogues participate in community service projects at WJCS sites.

A Volunteer Recognition event acknowledges the many dedicated people who contribute so meaningfully to WJCS.
