Life is a journey-sometimes a joyous one, sometimes a challenging one, and always one that is worthy of exploration so that we can achieve greater understanding, meaning, strength, and healing.

Our WJCS Jewish Spiritual Healing Center will be offering this fall and winter a host of opportunities for personal growth, insight and acceptance. They will all take place at WJCS Headquarters at 845 North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10603. Please mark your calendars!

Finding Forgiveness: A Pre-High Holy Day Workshop

In this workshop, we will explore our own experiences with apology and forgiveness, as well as the Jewish and therapeutic views, through exercises, and conversation, meditation, writing, and a short film. Wednesday, September 25, 2:30-4 PM, $25

 

After the Death of a Sibling: A Support Group

Please join us for these five sessions in which to share your memories, joys, and tribulations with your sibling and what it means to live without him or her in your life.

The Write Prescription

Aimed for anyone dealing will illness, bereavement, or caregiving responsibilities, this writing workshop will provided a safe environment in which to explore your personal narrative. 4 Wednesdays, 3-4:30 PM, October 23, November 6, November 20, December 4. $90

Wise Aging: for Those Age 60+

 Through text study, discussion, and experiential exercises, we’ll explore the purpose, passions, and possibilities in this next stage of life. 5 Mondays starting October 28, 4:00-5:30, at an off-site location. $125 Please call for more information

 

Ritual-Craft: Sanctifying the Thresholds of Our Lives

The power and possibility of ritual will be explored and applied to creating one for a meaningful passage or event in your personal life. 2 Thursdays, 9:30-11:00 AM, 10/31 and 11/21 $54

Deepen your experience and practice of gratitude through mediation, text study, chanting, journaling, and other exercises to enhance your Thanksgiving.

Talking about Suicide

Geared for those with either a personal or professional interest in suicide, we will discuss current research and warning signs of suicide and share resources.
