WJCS’s Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow ParentChild+ Families Love Summer Storytimes!
Much is said about the summer slide in learning but not so for WJCS’s Tarrytown /Sleepy Hollow Parentchild+ families. ParentChild+ early literacy home visits are on hiatus for the summer months but that didn’t stop over 40 families who were determined to keep the early learning moving forward for their young children and took advantage of the ParentChild+ story times we hosted at Warner library this summer.
July’s Summer Fun theme introduced new books and songs celebrating the great outdoors including summer activities, bugs and baby ducks. Families loved the Under the Sea stories in August enriched by songs, instruments and puppets. The ParentChild+ Program’s final storytime for the summer will focus on Friendship on September 13th.
WJCS ParentChild+ will also be hosting a table at the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Farmer’s Market (“The TaSH”) on Saturday, September 7th. . Information on Parentchild+ and other WJCS Community Programs will be available.
Below are a few photos from our July and August storytimes!
