WJCS' New Emerging Leadership Council Hosts First Learning Event

Published Monday, February 19, 2018

WJCS' newly formed Emerging Leadership Council hosted a fun and powerful event at the agency last week to learn how to promote WJCS’ mission through educational, fundraising and service initiatives. More than 40 bright, engaged women gathered to learn how each year WJCS strengthens the lives and shapes the futures of 20,000 people, including 7,000 children, throughout Westchester, each with their own unique story. One such story was told by WJCS client, Glynis, who detailed her story of struggle and perseverance.

Ali Denmark Gordon, Robyn Lash Miller, Michele Brettschneider, Marin Weinberg and Jodi Rhein Shapiro, below, were among the attendees. WJCS thanks them for their energy and leadership, and Cooked & Co and the Granola Bar companies from Scarsdale for providing a delicious brunch and yummy treats.
