Academic & Career Support Program Celebrates Student Achievements

The WJCS Academic and Career Support Program celebrated the achievements of students who completed their high school equivalency tests and others making strides in the program at a Recognition and Achievement Ceremony last Thursday. WJCS executive staff including CEO Alan Trager, COO Bernie Kimberg, and Shannon Van Loon, assistant executive director, Children, Youth and Family Services, congratulated the students, including Honoree Nilda Pagan; ACS Champion Sherlee Small as well as three graduates: Ritha Jimenez, Shadashja Slater and Michelle Young. Special recognition awards and certificates were given to all the students who were recognized for their persistence and progress. Among the WJCS partners attending the ceremonies were Laura Rossi, Esq, executive director of the Westchester Community Foundation, which has provided support to the program.
