Community Clinic Coordinator

Full-time, 35 hours per week in Yonkers.  The DSS Community Clinic Coordinator will provide leadership in program development and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Clinic located at the Department of Social Services.   The Coordinator will supervise WJCS Community Clinicians, providing guidance & support on work with clients  and their families in conjunction  with DSS staff and works in partnership with DSS workers and administration. The Coordinator will participate in community meetings on behalf of clients and the agency. The coordinator is responsible for provindg on-going  treatment,   crisis intervention and related services and insures compliance with all agency and OMH regulatory mandates.  The selected person will have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work ,NYS LCSW  and supervisory experience.  Bi-lingual, English-Spanish is   needed. Excellent continued professional training and clinical supervision provided through the Agency staff development Institute.

Community Habilitation Specialist

Part-time, Hours are  flexible. 12-24 hours per week. The Community Habilitation provider will be responsible to provide in home and community based habilitation services to individuals living in Westchester County with MR/DD/LD to  support and teach independent living skills. This includes education, instruction, direct services, and supports that promote individual’s chosen, individualized valued outcomes; that empower and enable individuals to achieve their stated goals and to live as optimally as possible. The Community  Habilitation   provider  will also be responsible to co-lead evening and weekend activities with groups of individuals. The selected person will have a minimum of a   High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably attending or completed undergraduate or graduate school for human service, psychology, social work, or related field. Applicants must be enthusiastic, reliable, personable, and have experience with and knowledge about people with intellectual disabilities. A valid driver's license is needed if running group activities.

Home Health Aides

Continuous recruitment.  10-40 hours a week in White Plains, NY. Perform routine tasks that assist patients who are essentially homebound with normal activities of daily living in their homes. Provide nutritional and environmental support services, which may include housekeeping, shopping, laundry services, meal preparation, paying bills and running errands. Provide and/or assist with personal care functions to restore and/or maintain patients' activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, grooming, feeding, self medication, skin care, equipment including walkers, crutches, canes, and oxygen. Records and/or reports care given, patient's response and any deviations from normal reactions or routines. Knowledge of specific deviation from normal physical/mental functioning. Ability to understand and carry out technical, non-technical oral and/or written directions, maturity, reliability, good physical and emotional health, communication skills. Holds a certificate from a New York State Department of Health approved training course with 60 hours of classroom and 30 hours of clinical training or an approved equivalency. Must be free from reportable disease and habituation or addiction to depressants, stimulants, narcotics, alcohol or other substances that may alter behavior. NYS Driver's License preferred.

Quality Assurance Monitor

Continuous recruitment, Per-Diem.   The QA Monitor will perform quality assurance tasks as outlined by the Milestones program.  To oversee that documentation meets the New York State Early Intervention Program regulations.   This selected person will conduct quality assurance reviews for providers in the field of their certification/license.

Residential Counselor(s)

Continuous  recruitment.   All shifts needed. Under the direction and supervision of the Residence Manager, the residential counselor will provide assistance, services and supports that promote independence and active participation in daily living within the residence and community. The residential counselor will assist the clients   to achieve their individual habilitation goals and objectives. It is also necessary to provide health care and ensures the safety of the clients at all times.   The residential counselor may administer medications as assigned. The residential counselor will serve as a role model for clients, modeling dignity and respect, drive or accompany clients to appointments, recreational, religious, day program/employment activities; and visits with others. Provide oversight and assistance to clients who are hospitalized. Complete and maintain all required documentation, records, and reports. Maintain the cleanliness and attractiveness of the residence. The selected applicant will be: a High School graduate or equivalent, have a minimum of 12 months working with people with developmental disabilities, valid driver's license, knowledge of household management, meal planning, meal preparation, shopping and knowledge of people with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and health care conditions. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, capable  to physically assist consumers, flexible schedule and ability to work in a variety of locations and on different shifts/time periods. It is preferred that this staff person has the ability to pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training that includes, but may not be limited to Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, vehicle certification and Mandatory Training identified by OPWDD.

The Linkages Program is a comprehensive mental health program that works in conjunction with the Department of Probation.    The mission of the program is to provide  juveniles involved with the Court and the Department of Probation with comprehensive assessments and treatment plans to prevent further delinquency, improve support to families, provide early assessment and treatment of mental health and substance abuse problems.  The goal of the Linkages Program is  to improve the outcomes for youth involved in the justice system.  The selected candidate will have a Masters of Social Work/Licensed Masters of Social Work (MSW)   with two years' experience working with adolescents and excellent writing skills.  Excellent continued professional training and clinical supervision provided through the Agency staff development Institute.Bi-lingual, Spanish-English is a plus.

Supervising Psychologist

Part-time, 21 hours per week in Lower Westchester County.  This position includes benefits. The Supervising Psychologist works as a member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team in a warm community-oriented outpatient clinic.  The psychologist provides mental health care in the form of evidence-based psychotherapy (assessment, diagnosis and treatment through individual, couples and group therapy), crisis intervention, training/outreach, and consultation. The Supervising Psychologist also provides clinical supervision, consultation, and leadership to clinical staff, psychology fellows and psychology externs on research, testing and clinical issues, including empirically based practices. Participation in an APA-accredited psychology internship program is required.  The selected candidate must have a doctorate from an APA-accredited program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology, have completed an APA-accredited internship, and  possess a valid New York State license.. Experience working in an outpatient setting, working with clients of varied ages, and using evidence-, based practices are musts.  Bi-lingual-English-Spanish, competency in DBT, and/or teaching/supervision experience are plusses. Teaching Assistant
