Make a difference with your donation to WJCS

WJCS is a registered 501c3 not-for-profit organization, recognized as meeting all charitable standards by the Better Business Bureau of New York. Gifts to WJCS support programs that enhance the Westchester community and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

DONATING TO WJCS:

Your gift to WJCS may be designated to overall agency services or to specific programs.

CONTRIBUTION OF GOODS:

WJCS engages in periodic fund-raising events and appeals that generate support for important programs.

DONOR DESIGNATED FUNDS:
WJCS maintains donor designated funds to sustain vital programs. Several successful special campaigns have helped subsidize the costs of serving less advantaged children with literacy and learning services and sustain Jewish programming activities in institutions of Jewish life throughout Westchester. As a participant in the Capital Campaign of UJA-Federation of New York, WJCS has several exciting capital and programmatic projects available for donor support.

FOUNDATION AND CORPORATE GRANTS
WJCS staff also responds to requests for proposals from foundations and corporations and seeks to develop relationships with donors whose areas of interest correspond to our service areas.  We are also active with local, state and federal legislators to enhance our services with government support.  For information about Foundation, Grant Support or legislative action, contact Jan Fisher, Director of Public Affairs at 914-761-0600 ext. 343 or jfisher@wjcs.com.    

PLANNED GIVING AND MATCHING GIFTS

SPECIAL GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Many children, individuals and families in our community-based programs have needs for clothing, books, school and camp supplies and non-perishable food items throughout the year. WJCS sponsors or participates in seasonal giving drives to assure that we can assist whoever is in need. We also welcome corporate sponsorships or donations of appropriate overstock items from local businesses. HAVE-A-HEART FOR THE HOLIDAYS: matches donors with children's holiday gift wish lists
WAITING TO READ: collects books and games for children served by our mental health clinics
READY FOR CAMP: collects backpacks, towels and summer items for needy children headed for special camps.
EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY: to assist people in extreme poverty or emergency situations.
