Connect to Care Economic Response Initiative

Resources to help members of the Jewish community cope with economic and career distress

Helping Jewish community members cope with unemployment and economic instability

The Westchester Connect to Care program was created by UJA Federation of NY and WJCS in 2009 to help Jewish community members affected by the economic downturn. While the economy has improved since the height of the Great Recession, there are many who continue to struggle with employment and economic instability. Connect To Care is committed to helping them maximize their opportunities.

Funded by a grant from UJA-Federation of NY, WJCS collaborates with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) to provide job-seekers multi-faceted services including: career counseling, financial and legal counseling, emotional and spiritual support and access to the NYS Small Business Development Center. Connect to Care also offers ongoing dynamic, informational workshops on topics relevant to job-seekers and an upcoming employment boot-camp.
Individual assistance is offered by appointment.
