Center Lane Youth Pitch in at Kid’s Kloset
Participants of Center Lane, Westchester’s only community center for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) adolescents, recently helped sort clothes and prepare “bags of love” at Kid’s Kloset. An all-volunteer effort, Kid’s Kloset provides new and gently-used clothes and children’s essentials free of charge to local families in need. The young volunteers plan to return on a regular basis to help Kid’s Kloset fulfill its orders. Both Center Lane and Kid’s Kloset are programs of Westchester Jewish Community Services, a human service agency which offers more than 80 programs at 120 sites throughout the county.
