Astorino Visits WJCS Senior Program

Published Thursday, August 9, 2012

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino recently visited The Mount Vernon Senior Program, sponsored by Westchester Jewish Community Services (WCJS), for an info  session with participants about issues pertinent to them. The seniors enjoyed finding out firsthand from the County Executive about the latest happenings in Westchester. Located at Sinai Free Synagogue, the WJCS Senior Program offers a range of social, educational and fitness activities for senior adults from surrounding communities. The programs are available for a nominal fee, and no one is turned away because of inability to pay. A daily hot kosher lunch is served on-site. For more information, contact Senior Program Director Rabbi Andy Bossov at 668-4350.

During a recent visit to the WJCS Mount Vernon Senior Program County Executive Rob Astorino checked in with card players Ruth Fell and Murray Bendeson.
