Published Tuesday, June 5, 2012

More than 150 enjoyed the Spring Celebration Concert for persons with developmental disabilities hosted recently by  Kol Rinah, Westchester’s Jewish Community Chorus, and Westchester Jewish Community Services’ Havorah  Program at the Rosenthal JCC in Pleasantville.  Benjamin Gruder, Kol Rinah’s Artistic Director and Conductor, commented, “In many ways this is our best audience. Their reactions to the music are so natural and joyous.”  Founded in 2001, the chorus sang Jewish songs from around the world.  “The members of Kol Rinah are thrilled to perform for their special friends,” said Gail Oliver, the Havorah program coordinator. “And it has become a wonderful tradition.”
