Campers Carry Out ‘Chesed’ for WJCS
Forty five campers from Westchester Summer Day in Mamaroneck recently performed chesed (kindness) for Pass It On Kid’s Kloset. An all-volunteer program of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), Kid’s Kloset distributes new and gently-used children’s clothing and essentials to local families in need. The nine- and ten-year old campers delivered clothing and new diapers that they had collected. After learning about the mission of Kid’s Kloset from Director Stephanie Roth, the youngsters set about sorting the clothing. Afterwards, they all agreed with fellow camper Kate Lichtman that it “feels really good to help other people.” For more information or to contribute to about Kid’s Kloset, contact Ms. Roth at 761-0600 X715 or kidskloset@wjcs.com.
