Westchester Toyota Helping Kid’s Kloset Rebuild
Westchester Toyota has launched a Facebook fundraising campaign to help Kid’s Kloset rebuild following a fire. Each donation made through the secure Facebook Fundrazr app will be matched up to $1,000 by the dealership. In addition, the dealership is donating 100 new backpacks to the organization.
A program of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), Kid’s Kloset provides children in need with new and gently-used clothing and essentials free of charge. The organization has helped more than 1,800 children since it was launched last summer.
Recently, a fire caused extensive water and smoke damage to the Kid’s Kloset facility in White Plains. The majority of their "Operation Backpack" school supplies were damaged or destroyed just before the new school year. To remedy the situation Westchester Toyota has donated 100 new backpacks.
“As a local business we felt it was our duty to step in and help when we heard that the fire destroyed all the back-to-school supplies they’ve worked so hard to acquire. We look forward to making this fundraising initiative a success and giving the kids the essentials they need to succeed,” commented Rich Prager, Westchester Toyota General Manager.
