A Social Worker is needed for 21 hours per week in Hartsdale, NY.  Under general supervision of the Clinic Director, this position provides mental health services to persons in the community requiring services offered by a licensed mental health facility.  The majority of the clinical work in the position will be in the DBT Program, but general clinic cases will make up part of the caseload.  The Social Worker has Administrative coverage for the DBT Program, assisting the DBT Program Coordinator.  Other responsibilities include providing direct service in various therapeutic modalities, for ongoing treatment cases; providing intakes, assessments and treatment planning; and providing crisis intervention.

The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of modern principles and techniques of social work. Must have knowledge of/skill with at least one evidence-based practice for treating adults and one for children.  A Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.  Possession of or eligible for license to practice social work in New York State (LCSW) issued by the State Education Department.  Completion of training/certificate in DBT.  Must possess a valid Driver's license.
