Spectrum Baseball Program
In partnership with the Miracle League of Westchester, WJCS sponsors a baseball program for children aged 4 – 14 who have autism. Players have a structured baseball experience with the assistance of “buddies” (primarily teen volunteers) to guide them through the game, ensure safety and success. Buddies and coaches are trained to understand the unique features of autism.
Games are played in the Spring and Fall at the "Miracle Field" in Hartsdale. This collaboration has been made possible by the Warner Fund.
