Amazing Afternoons

Enrichment and learning at the Edward Williams Elementary School, Mt. Vernon

Funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services/Advantage After School initiative, AMAZING AFTERNOONS is an extended day after-school program in Mt. Vernon's Edward Williams Elementary School that serves 125 first to fifth graders.  Academic, youth development and enrichment activities including homework help and skills development, learning games, computer skills, music, literacy, arts and crafts, sports, nutrition and conflict resolution support children's educational achievement, and healthy social and emotional development.  Amazing Afternoons is a partnership with the Mt. Vernon City School District, Edward Williams Elementary School, the Mt. Vernon Youth Bureau and many community partners and volunteers.
