WJCS is:
- Licensed to operate mental health clinics by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
- Licensed to provide Home Health and Traumatic Brain Injury services and operate a Home Health Training Program by the NYS Department of Health.
- Certified to operate Intermediate Care Facilities, Individualized Residential Alternatives and Community Residences by the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
- Chartered as an Educational Institute by the NYS Board of Regents.
- Accredited by the American Psychological Association as a training site for pre-doctoral psychology interns.
- Licensed by the Child Care Council of Westchester to provide childcare for school-aged children.
- Rated as meeting all standards by the Better Business Bureau of New York.

Local grants are obtained from: City of Yonkers Department of Planning & Development-Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), New Rochelle CDBG, the School Districts of Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, Ossining, Peekskill, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, White Plains and Yonkers.
Federal funding is received through the Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grants, the Department of Housing & Urban Development, the Department of Justice and the Department of Health & Human Services.
WJCS is a beneficiary agency of UJA-Federation and United Way of Westchester/Putnam
