Geriatric Mental Health Services
Older individuals (and their families receive mental health services, comprising individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy, psychiatric consultation, medication monitoring and case management.
Experienced social workers help clients cope with issues related to growing older in our society, including maintaining independence in the face of loss and changing family structure, retirement, physical illness or disability, isolation from family and friends, and continuing responsibility for dependent adult children, grandchildren, ill spouses or elderly parents.
A constantly updated knowledge base of community resources also enables case managers to assist individuals in obtaining entitlements, assistance and services, as appropriate, to increase the viability of clients in the community.
