Class will be repeated as needed!

Recognizing that we are living and working in an unprecedented time, this course will review current clinical theories as they relate to the present crisis. Utilizing a framework for understanding trauma, loss, and resilience, participants will learn to apply a theoretical understanding to the current pandemic. The class will discuss the unique challenges of living and working in an environment that continues to be unstable and unpredictable. Through discussion, participants will have an opportunity to share success, challenges, and lessons learned. Self-care, boundaries, use of telehealth will be discussed. 

Method: Lecture, discussion. 

Learning Objectives: 

· To identify skills and theory that inform and support work during this crisis. 

· To understand and utilize self-care in providing services during the pandemic.
