WJCS is renowned for developing well-trained, highly professional staff for the agency and for the broader social service community. In addition, our community and family life education programs help our neighbors to understand contemporary issues and know where to turn for assistance.
The highly acclaimed WJCS Educational Institute, chartered by the NYS Board of Regents in 1993, provides courses, workshops and conferences for professionals and the community-at-large. Offerings include in-service training for professional and support personnel, clinical internships and field placements for students pursuing advanced degrees in psychology and social work. In-service training programs for staff provide the opportunity to identify the treatment needs of clients and learn about trends and methods of practice.
