Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a specialized evidence-based treatment, that is effective at helping individuals reduce and cope with intense emotions and life threatening behavior, including self-harm (cutting, scratching, burning, etc.) and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The goal of DBT is to create a life worth living. DBT can help with: regulating intense, painful emotions; controlling life-threatening and life-interfering behaviors; managing difficult interpersonal relationships, and fostering more life balance.

WJCS offers DBT comprehensive and DBT informed individual and family psychotherapy, and DBT skills training groups for adults, adolescents and families at each of our four Family Mental Health Clinics and at several of our satellite clinics.
