Child Advocacy Center
WJCS services through the Child Advocacy Center are offered under the umbrella of the WJCS Trager Lemp Center: Treating Trauma and Promoting Resilience. The center utilizes research-proven treatment and services to help survivors heal from the trauma of abuse, violence and other adverse life experiences. Center programs and activities are also designed to prevent violence and aggression by adults and children.
Located at the Westchester Institute for Human Development, the Child Advocacy Center provides coordination for the multi-disciplinary assessment of children with suspected sexual and/or physical abuse. WJCS is the mental health partner of this multi-disciplinary team that provides a coordinated response in a neutral, safe and child-friendly environment.
