A program of Westchester Jewish Community Services, Center Lane is funded by a combination of individual contributions and foundation, government, and corporate grants.
Financial contributions, both large and small, make a tremendous
difference to the youth, educators, and communities that are positively
affected by Center Lane's programs and services. Whether it's buying snacks
for the Drop-In Center or funding a new computer upgrade, every gift, every
dollar, and every second of time is highly valued by the participants and
staff of Center Lane. No gift goes unrecognized and EVERY gift is equally
important in advancing the mission of the program.
Center Lane would like to thank all of its current funders and supporters
for their commitment to the shared mission of providing a safe haven for
GLBTQ youth.
Since 1995, Center Lane provides services to 200+
participants and education, and training to 1000+ human service professionals annually.
The exponential growth of the center has increased the program's budgetary
needs. In 2004/05, Center Lane will continue to increase its service capacity
with the establishment of new programs and services, such
as the Speaker's Bureau
and Center Lane College
Group, as well as through increased outreach efforts that target Westchester
communities in need.
Created to make the program more accessible to GLBTQ youth
and increase outreach efforts to under served, urban communities, Center Lane Yonkers' is the program's first satellite center . The project,
a direct response to expressed concerns and needs of youth, families, and
educators that live and work in the area, kicked off in June 2004.
